The Boone County Recorder was first published in 1875 as the only local newspaper of Boone County, Kentucky. The Recorder reported on not only the residents of Boone County, but gave a clear window into the politics and day-to-day life of rural Kentucky along the Ohio River. The Boone County Recorder is still in circulation today.
